Amazing 20th Century Woman

Grace Murray Hopper (1906-1992) was a trailblazer in the field of computer programing (leading to the development of the COBOL programing language),  plus a PhD and a Rear Admiral in the U.S. Navy.  Her nickname was "Amazing Grace" and the navy destroyer USS Hopper was named in her honor.
