Borrowing Materials from Other Libraries

The WMU Libraries' superb interlibrary loan service, called Resource Sharing will do their utmost to borrow materials we do not own for your use, usually at no cost to you.

Journal articles are generally digitized and sent to your email box within a few days.

Books take longer, since they come through the mail, normally, within one to two weeks.

To use interlibrary loan, log in with your BroncoNet ID and password.
You can submit an interlibrary loan request directly from many of our databases. if you do not see a link to the full text of the article, you will see a link that says "Get it elsewhere"  or "Request It (WMU Students, Faculty, and Staff)" or similar directive.  Just login in with your BroncoNetID and password and let the system do the rest.

Note: You may also try MelCat (the Michigan eLibrary catalog and resource sharing system) to see if any libraries in Michigan have books or DVD's that you need. Items that you request through this system may arrive sooner.
