The best resource for finding data from a specific discipline is by searching for a repository using re3data.org, an online repository finder. It is a good starting point if you are unsure where to start looking for certain types of data, and it provides filters to indicate data format, access, and language.
Generalist Data Repositories
Generalist data repositories are a good place to look for data from a variety of disciplines. If you are looking to share your dataset as part of funder or journal requirements, depositing into any of these repositories (except for Dryad) is free of costs and provides a DOI (digital object identifier) for your data.
