Women's Basketball

Senda Berenson Abbott, a Jewish American immigrant and a faculty member at Smith College in Physical Culture, helped change the rules for women's basketball in the late 1890s.  Click on the image above to read the revised rules for 1916-17.

American Memory

The Library of Congress's American Memory site has some great sports collections, especially of baseball.  Here is one you might find useful.
