Where Do I Find COVID-19 Research?

Article databases are a good place to start to find the science behind COVID-19. Below are links to research from several major article databases. 

When searching for additional materials, remember to try the different terms used by researchers for the 2019-2020 pandemic:

  • COVID-19
  • 2019-nCoV
  • SARS-CoV-2
  • novel coronavirus

Clinical Trials on COVID-19

Use these links to search for clinical trials that have been registered with the US National Institutes of Health and/or with the World Health Organization. Records of clinical trials will include: 

  • Disease or condition
  • Intervention (for example, the medical product, behavior, or procedure being studied)
  • Title, description, and design of the study
  • Requirements for participation (eligibility criteria)
  • Locations where the study is being conducted
  • Contact information for the study locations
  • Links to relevant information on other health Web sites

After a clinical trial has concluded, the records may be updated to include: 

  • Description of study participants (the number of participants starting and completing the study and their demographic data)
  • Outcomes of the study
  • Summary of adverse events experienced by study participants
