Welcome to "Find and Access Scholarly Resources beyond WMU Libraries Collection" workshop.

In this workshop, Kate will demonstrate different search tools to find  and access scholarly materials not available through the WMU collections. This workshop will highlight the following platforms:

The University Libraries makes every effort to provide access to the online databases, journals, and scholarly resources needed for teaching and research. Unfortunately, we do not have access to everything. This page provides alternative search tools to find and access articles and citations to scholarly information. This guide explains how to use the following alternative search tools.  

Use these three main search tools to discover articles and journals beyond WMU are: 
Take these steps to access scholarly articles
  1. Start with Library Search and search "Beyond My Library"
  2. Search Google Scholar or Open Access Repositories such as PubMed, ERIC, or DOAJ
  3. Still can't find a full tex version? Request it through Interlibrary Loan. The Libraries cannot guarantee that we will be able to get everything you need, but we will do our very best.
