Online Catalogs

Use Online Library Catalogs to find books, scores, and sound recordings. Library catalogs will also locate subscriptions to journals and magazines, but not usually articles within journals and magazines. Do not use catalogs to search for articles in journals.

Library Search
The Library Search interface will search the WMU Libraries' local catalog as well as periodical index databases. This is the best way to find the most current holdings of the Harper C. Maybee Music & Dance Library.
MelCat
This catalog will search the holdings of more than 400 libraries in the State of Michigan.
WorldCat
This catalog will search the holdings of over 72,000 libraries world-wide.
Library of Congress Catalog
This catalog will search the holdings of the Library of Congress, the world's largest library.
Library of Congress Authorities
This database is the authority file of the Library of Congress, and contains the authorized versions of names, uniform titles, and subject headings used in most American library catalogs.
