How to access materials beyond WMU

Access materials 

You can place a request to have the item held at Waldo Library for you to pick up

You can request materials to be delivered

  • electronically (when available)
  • intercampus mail
  • UPS

If you live on campus

  • Library materials will be routed to WMU Central Receiving (1201 Oliver St). You can pick up your order on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 9 a.m. and noon. 
  • request a hold and pick up at Waldo Library 

If you live off-campus

Delivery to off-campus addresses will continue as normal via UPS.

Once logged in to ILL, confirm your address In the Notes field confirm  We'll reach out to you when your item has been sent. All WMU students, staff, and faculty are eligible for this service.

How to Request Materials Interlibrary Loan (ILL)

Log in to Document Delivery/Interlibrary Loan (ILL)

The final step is to request the item through interlibrary loan. We use a platform called Illiad. It often automatically imports information from the platform you are searching into Iliad. 

1. Set up your Illiad account (first time using it)

2. Either manually enter the information you want to request

3. Or many platforms will import citation information in.
