Extensive collection of art books, artist files, and auction catalogs, including Sotheby's and Christie's catalogs. Auction catalogs are particularly useful for tracing the provenance of artworks and for finding images of works in private collections.

The library houses information on Kalamazoo Institute of Arts collections and exhibitions, as well as circulating reading material. Museum members may borrow books.
