Get Set Up

This is to get you started with the technical aspects of using the University Libraries. 

  1. Connect to WIFI with WMU Secure
  2. Set up device for wireless printing
  3. Link Google Scholar to WMU resources 
  4. Set up a Google Scholar account  and create alerts
  5. Set up a Mendeley or Zotero account 
  6. Set up access to NYTimes
  7. Bookmark the following Pages
    1. Library Homepage 
    2. MeLCat 
    3. WorldCat
    4. Browzine (journal browser)
    5. Google Scholar
    6. Zotero or Mendeley 
    7. Interlibrary Loan 
    8. Chronicle of Higher Education
    9. Relevant Research and Class Guides

Good to Know : BNID and BroncoCard

BNID required to access resources when Off Campus. 

  • When off-campus,you will be required to log in with your BNID. (username & password). 

    • Who: Currently enrolled students, faculty, and staff 

    • What: E-books, Databases, Electronic Articles, Streaming content, 
  • Swipe access to Graduate Commons
  • On-campus, you are automatically logged in to resources.

How to: Wireless Printing

Printing in the Libraries
  • Graduate students have 250 prints available each semester. 
  • Wireless release is available in the Libraries
    • send you document
    • go to a wireless release station 
    • swipe your Bronco Card ( or enter BNID)
    • select job from list you would like to print
    • pick up job from designated printer.
