How to View EBSCO eBooks on Your Computer through the Web-Based Interface

Viewing EBSCOhost ebooks using Firefox -- If you experience ebooks opening up a one page PDF document each time you move to another page, try this:

  1. On the Firefox menu, go to Tools-->Options. 
  2. Click on the Applications tab. 
  3. For every Adobe listing on the left side under Content Type, click on the corresponding Action on the right side and use the drop-down arrow to change the selection to Use Adobe Acrobat (in Firefox).
  4. Click OK. 

Safari Books e-books

  • If you are not connected to the Internet, you can only access content by using the Offline Bookbag in the “Safari To Go” iPad app. The iPad app allows you to cache one book at a time for offline viewing.
  • The Safari Books Online Terms of Service allows individual pages to be printed.  But, there is no function within Safari to allow subscribers to print all content from a book. Pages must be printed individually.
