Virginia Cooperative Extension Gardener Handbook
This open access resource covers many topics that are within this LibGuide. Note- any resource not directly written for/in Michigan are still quite reliable in the basics of plants, soil, etc. The planting dates and temperatures/ zones, pests/wildlife that may be in the area, plants that can grow in our climate, and native plants may not be the same.
Chapters 1-8, 12, 14, 16-17 should all be reliable in our region. When in doubt, research or ask.
