ME 2615: Intro to Mechanical Engineering

What are Standards?

Technical standards are standardized ways of producing or processing that are agreed upon by professionals around the world. You may be familiar with many of these organizations: ISO, ASTM, ANSI, etc. The library subscribes to the current ASTM and IEE standards; others can be accessed, but not always as full-text documents. Check out the links below, and contact me (malyn.berger@wmich.edu) for any questions regarding standards we don't have physically or electronically through the library.

Engineering Standards

Waldo Library only subscribes to the current standards for the ASTM and IEEE.  For all other standards, if you do not find what you need in the Library's online catalog, please contact the Engineering Librarian for assistance or use the Engineering Workbench to order what you need (faculty and graduate students only).  For students in classes that require the use of standards, special arrangements need to be made by the instructor.
