In addition to the atlases available in the Map Collection a number of atlases are housed in the Reference Department. These atlases are cataloged and appear in WestCat. A number of maps of national forests are housed in the Government Documents collection on the second floor along with maps of foreign countries issued by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) .

Archives houses a collection of atlases and maps related to the history of southwestern Michigan.

The Local History Room of the Kalamazoo Public Library contains numerous maps and atlases covering the Kalamazoo area and the state of Michigan.

The Heritage Room in the Portage Public Library contains a variety of Plat Maps of Kalamazoo County and the surrounding communities which are excellent for individuals researching their family history, conducting house and land research, or just wondering about the history of the community.
