This guide is designed for students at the M.A. level and focuses on interdisciplinary online resources in Medieval Studies. This is only a starting point and electronic resources should be verified with their print ancestors in many cases.

Quick online teaching resources

Library services available through state-mandated closure of library facilities
Students, faculty and staff may visit wmich.edu/library for 24/7 access to University Libraries' wealth of online information and resources. Along with other services, visit the site to:

  • Access electronic reserves and place requests to make portions of physical reserve items available electronically.
  • Request new electronic resources, including streaming videos and expanded licensing for e-books.
  • Request materials to be delivered electronically or via intercampus mail or UPS (All WMU students, staff and faculty are eligible for this service).
  • Submit questions and requests anytime through the libraries' online form.

About this Guide

Welcome to the WMU Libraries' subject guide for Medieval Studies. This guide is designed to address the needs of WMU graduate students in accessing material available to them either through WMU's library collections or free online. Because of the very regional and specialized nature of medieval studies, students should expect that many of their questions will require them to move independently beyond these guides to prepare their research.
