If you use the Zotero desktop app, the easiest way to add to your Zotero library is by using the Zotero Connector browser extension. It is available for:
When you download Zotero from the dowload page, you will also be prompted to install the extension for your browser.
Look for the Zotero Connector icon where you usually find your browser extensions (usually to the right of the URL bar). The icon for Zotero Connector changes depending on what webpage you are viewing. By default it shows a blue page icon, but if it recognizes a different kind of source (article, book, etc.) it changes to the corresponding icon for this source type. If you do not see any icon , make sure you make the extension visible by checking your browser's extension settings. Some of the most common icons are listed below.

If you are looking at a page of search results, Zotero Connector may display a yellow file folder. You can click this folder to open a window with all the sources displayed. Check the sources you want to save these to your library and click OK.
If you are using the web version of Zotero, you can add sources to your library using the Add to Zotero page. This works best for articles with DOI's or books with ISBN's. Using a URL alone may or may not work. Just copy the DOI or ISBN into the search bar. On the next screen you can select which folder in your library you want to save the source to. For sources that do not work with this method, you can add them manually.
