Reading and highlighting in Zotero

You can read PDF articles you have in your Zotero library directly in your Zotero window. You can do the following in any editable PDF:

  • Highlight sections of text (in a range of colors).
  • Underline text.
  • Add a note.
  • Write text annotations on the margins.
  • Draw on the document.
  • Put a box around a paragraph.

The toolbar with the annotation features will appear at the top of the PDF reader.
