Managing events or conferences in ScholarWorks

Scholarworks can host the content of conferences, symposia, proceedings and other events. The system can provide a way to:

  • Submit proposals
  • Send proposals out to reviewers
  • Organize the presentations into days, times, tracks
  • Dislplay the event program or schedule online
  • Add papers, presentations and/or handouts to the abstracts after the event
  • Publish proceedings after the event
  • Link out to third party vendors that provide event registration

To set up an event:

  • Contact Maira Bundza -
  • Fill out a Set-up Form for Event Communities
  • Fill out the Event Community Customization Questionnaire (you may use your own logo and/or banner and customize some other aspects of the page)
  • Send in forms and set up a time to be trained by the Digital Commons (our platform) support staff -

The cost? $0 - part of the ScholarWorks package - just your time and effort
